The Flight Of Flamingos

Well, when I thought about the theme for writing my first ever blog, I realized it’s something that many of you would have thought about, discussed, debated. Yes, I am going to talk about our politicians, but I promise you one thing, it is not a usual blame game not a debate on a scenario or a discussion on why we are the way we are rather I would like to propose a solution with a very good story that I read recently.
Once upon a time the whites wanted to transfer power to native South Africans (I am afraid of using the word, I do not know whether it is legal to use or not, but I hope you understand whom I am referring to). The question was how would they transfer the power and how will the natives govern the country and in what direction. A professor named Pieter Le Roux brought individuals from opposing parties who until then were ready to kill each other, to discuss about the future of their nation. Surprisingly, the committee met, they had peaceful discussions and after a number of sessions they came up with four scenarios, namely ostrich- white government refuses a peaceful transition of power, Icarus- a particular native government embarks on a huge public works programme and crashes the economy, Lame Duck- a long transition in which an attempt is made to satisfy all but none are satisfied at the end of the day and lastly Flight of Flamingos- where all building blocks are in place and everyone rises slowly but together. South Africans chose the flight of flamingos.
Instead of blaming the ruling government, it is wiser, that is if the politicians want to be wise, to come together and devise a strategy to tackle the problems that India is facing today. Every party claims that it is working for the welfare of people, if that is the single point agenda then why don’t they all work together to achieve a single goal.

Keeping Quiet – Is This The New Trend Of The Indian Parliamentarians?

There have been so many prime ministers for the nation, the 14th and 15th being Dr. MMS. There is one question that is still there in my mind. Most of the prime ministers before Rajeev Gandhi had their strength in the speech that they made and these speeches eventually made them house in the hearts of the people so long and it did all that they want. They talked and moved the mass. But after that, all the talking and misappropriations are being made by the media, for the people in the democratic setup. No one can actually deny the fact that Dr. MMS is criticized extremely for not opening his mouth in the parliament and yet he is the prime minister. One good thing about Lok Sabha TV is that, it will let us know who actually talks for the people or who at least talk. When you search online for clips that show the prime ministers talking, it is really surprising that there is nothing much to show under that category. What really baffled me is that, there are people like Sushma Swaraj who have made historical and wonderful speeches in the parliament in favour of the party and for the people (in case of the speech against Pranab Mukherjee on FDI policy of the UPA, the points put down by Sushma are really amazing and true indeed. Has talking lost all its need in the politics? Should not the politicians explain themselves and represent their people should not they answer all the questions? Is keeping dumb the new rule? Well most of the parliamentarians either seem to keep quiet or doze off in the parliament. Some are even better, for they are seldom at the house but they keep to their personal home and enjoy their lives at the expense of the tax payers. Why do we even elect them when they cannot even talk? Well there are some people in the parliament who are there to shout and scream all the time and make every important thing a drama. There are even politicians who have to be elected to the parliament for at least one thing – the fun factor and in that category, the male award winner is Lalu Prasad Yadav and the female would obviously be Mamata Banerjee. But if you wanted a race between them, then the best person would be Lalu yadav as he also delivers some useful comments or retaliations that are sarcastic, to his opponents whereas what Mamata seems to do is to scream whenever possible. “Hamare man mai bhi Prime Minister bannae ka ichcha hai. Par Lalu Yadav ko PM kaun banne dethaa hai? Kaun Lalu ko PM banne chaahthaa hai?” the epic speech of yadav ji!
So here it is… when you cannot speak the language at all (Hindi or English properly), when you are not an Indian at all, is it not shameful that you sit in the parliament? For in most of the speeches made in Hindi, Sonia (Maino) seems to ask the translation of the matter only when the others around her laugh or thump hard and when she sits there simply stupid. My question is; why are people actually electing her into the house? Why should people like her be in the Indian house at all? It is a shame on all of us. It is true that India needs an autocratic leadership of a strong individual. But it is also necessary that the autocracy be vested in a true Indian and not an illiterate who illegally owns the citizenship of Italy while she is an MP and drives the ruling party at the center. One can pardon if you speak wrong English because you were educated in Hindi all the time or if you do not know English at all for most of your life and only if you make serious attempt to speak in the house, for some good cause. Though she wears a saree, she is not an Indian. There is one statement that President APJ made once to the children who met him for a Republic day TV show when he was serving his 4th year: “One cannot change an Indian who is within the genes by adorning foreign dress, looks and lifestyle, including the acquisition of a certain accent in the speech”. Well, then Sonia Maino cannot be an Indian how much ever she tries to be. It is shocking to see that the expenditure of Sonia Maino and family alone is more than the expenditures of the British queen. When I was introduced to this fact, I recalled a recent article about the hike of the Queen’s salary in Britain while the economy is doing very badly. If you get time, you must read that article online and you would really be taken aback by the quantum of money that is shown as expenditure. Just because she flew economy class once, it does not mean that she is really a conscious spender of the taxpayer’s money.
Coming back to the actual question that I had intended to ask at the beginning of this narration: Why should you vote for people who would take your money and sleep in the parliament, not voicing out for you, when you have to go to office every single day and work for about 12 hours on an average to make money and to pay about 20% of it as tax? Why should we be silent, like those who are presently seated at the parliament? Has not the name Gandhi made a lot of damage to us already, including the Mahatma himself? Well, that is a different issue altogether.

Is Anna Hazare The Person Who He Claims Himself To Be - A Reality Check!

There was a huge roar and a wave of people supporting Anna Hazare. He is one of the country's overnight heroes post the first Indian Independence in 1947. He is a CRUSADER people say  - FOR THE PEOPLE. What is he against actually? He is against corruption and he claims that corrupt politicians are ruining the nation. If that is the case, there are a few questions that I would want to ask him personally and unfortunately he is HERO and he is not that easily available and generally people do not respond to uncomfortable questions.

Why did you have to share a stage with the politicians of the opposition? Does it mean that only the UPA is corrupt and the other politicians are as pure as crystals of gold? Is your crusade against all corrupt politicians or just the UPA government at the centre? I am not asking this as a UPA cadre, but as a free Indian youth.

The next question: So much money was collected for the Jantar mantar fast. What happened to all that money? Is Ralegan Siddhi the only village you could transform? Couldn't you have led a political movement straight ahead, teaching people the importance of choosing the right representatives. Why be so particular about a proof reading or a checking mechanism for keeping the elected government good and not so particular about educating the masses to exercise their right properly and help them choose the right people as their representatives.

If your answer to my previous question would be this : There are no alternatives in politics. We have only the same people again and again so we have to vote either of the looters and plunderers, then here is my question to that:

Why can't you teach people and inspire them to form political parties and let them contest in the elections and bring the local Indian masses into politics and be of help in eradicating the policy of elected monarchy of certain national and regional parties?

Next question: Have you stopped with just one village development? Can't you use all the man power to develop the other villages? Was your ultimate aim the Padma awards?

If you cannot inspire people to be corruption free leaders and form an alternative to the existing political parties, why cannot you, with so much support that you have, form a political party, take the help of people like Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and defeat all the others in the election and form a good government?

Regarding your support to Baba Ramdev. Are you people showing real interest in the country or lust for all the publicity that you would get out of stirring up the people. Do you think that you are Mark Anthonys of today? Why should someone who works for the people against corrupt political system and politicians have to laugh and pose for photographs with other opposition parties?

If BJP comes to power in the coming elections and if they offer the same negotiated Lokpal bill to you that the UPA is offering, would you accept that happily? It seems so that you would. So the funds that you had got for a hunger strike that is in contrast to eating heavily in a star hotel (which would need a lot of money) is a token of love from the other parties or a bribe or something that you got to agitate against the present government? Again, I am not happy with the UPA II too but I am not its cadet at the same time!

If you keep analysing my dear members of the NBSS, you would get to know that there are so many flaws this whole Anna Hazare thingy... you could even call this a scam from the media point of view and give Anna and Baba both the publicity that they want.

I am not turning against Anna Hazare at this moment. But this is the other way of looking at a person. Can he answer these questions? If he is ready to clarify and satisfy me with answers and not bribe or money, I would love to give up my entire life for the cause. But this is my personal opinion:

With so many foxes in the country, would the Gandhian thought still work? It did not work 65 years ago and would it work today? Going back to the history, we might find that we got freedom only because the violence and agitation (forceful and not peaceful) increased against the British crown and that The so called Great Britain lost all its glory and wealth in the World War II (then there was nothing much to drain out from our great nation as resources anymore - still crown jewels belongs to INDIA!) we got freedom and nothing else!!!

What do you have to say?

Jai Hind and Jai NBSS!

Pranab Mukharjee For The President?

It has been in the evening news today that the ride to the Rashtrapathi Bhavan for the present finance minister is likely to be smooth though there is a lot of political hues and cries about the same. When I read that article, i just did one thing. I went to the president of India website to see why there is so much tension and as a result of that, a few things that I learned today from the incumbent incompetent president of the nation (I am not telling that she is incompetent, even the Congress feels so and that is why her name is no where to be found in this tussle!):

Unlike the responsibilities of a prime minister, the president can sit and relax in that wonderful palace called as the Rashtrapathi Bhavan. The British always knew how to live the life and so do our politicians. Before our beloved Dr. Kalam had occupied the palace, I am sure no common public would have criticized the president of going on abroad tours or living in such luxury. It is the high quality of the man (Dr. Kalam) that has made us expect a lot from the president while all the other presidents were actually doing nothing but roaming around the world.

If you are a president:

You have a lovely house that has anything and everything
You get a salary that you would never spend, a salary that you would get for doing nothing at all
You could go on various holidays with your spouse without having to plan or earn for it
You could announce your own salary to be hiked by 300% (Like the HONOURABLE incumbent lady has done it)
You can be away from comments until the next president election comes by or if your predecessor was really an honourable man who tried as much to exercise all the powers to do good to the people.
You get a personal cavalry force as your body guards
You get salutes wherever you go

So what else do you want?

Did you know that there was a contestant for the Presidential elections from Tamilnadu, a farmer, whose name is KOMANAM THANGAVELU (The prefix KOMANAM comes because he is seen most of the time with a langoti only).

Like everyone wants to do an Engineering degree today, everybody wants to become the president and obviously, there is so much of luxury in the life.

Coming back to PA Sangma's candidature, I read a comment about him by a citizen and it read
"I do not want that beef eating roman catholic to be our country's president"

to that, immediately, someone named Agatha Sangma replied back saying:
"Would you be happy if he drunk urine?"

I mean... what kind of things should be taken into consideration for getting someone elected as the president of the nation?

People say that he is a tribal person and hence we must elect him. What bakwas is this? Does he deserve all the benefits of the post? Will he bring glory to the post like Dr. Kalam or would he take this as a chance to commence his world tour?

When the President cannot sign anything without the backing of the parliament, why the hell should he or she take up a tour and waste the state's money?

Who would you vote to be the nominal head of the Indian Republic?

Short But Not Sweet

What does it make you when you say no to something or someone just because you have the power to ?

A person whom i knew from my childhood used to buy his son a lot of toys and the minute he found that his son was having fun with what he got him, he used to throw it in the attic and by the time that son reached ten years, the attic was almost a giant toy shop.
The way I see it now, at this exact co-ordinate of time, in an organization  when a lower cadre employee enjoys a few certain benefits and even though it will do nothing at all to the concern of the one superior, just to get the crude fun of superiority and control over, the lowers are denied of such small things. But little do they know and little do they care that such petty things are the ones that help getting thru the day.

Being in a noble institution can never make one noble, it comes from within.*
* -personally tested and proved

what do I name this

We are tuned to do things in such a way that, there is always a small window of hope that expects recognition from a single person that one considers important.

For instance, A goal at the last minute and yet the full joy of the same is not felt until that respecting yet acknowledging nod from the coach at the pavilion. It is common to expect such things from someone that stands close to us and yet what happens when there is not the desired response from the person ?
Dejection ?
Except for people who study human nature and tendencies of behavior, the rules about emotion and nature of behavior change from person to person. The mind of a person perceives to itself that, the way the same reacts is how everyone would react to, when given with the same circumstances and this is the reason for half the fights with a relationship base and thus the way one might react when there is not the desired response from the expected person differs from person to person.

Yet, is it not the branching point where either perfection is achieved or quitters originate?
The person who is considered important should know the same thyself and might handle it the way it can be handled to push the expecting one to great heights....or why take all this trouble ?
The choice between these two options is what it takes to be either a best friend/adviser/well wisher or just another person in life.

This is how we curb and punish the terrorist - Dr. MMS

Wow wow wow... there is no one other than the UPA to punish the terrorists! It has taken 8 years of premiership and people telling him to speak for the nation, for Dr. MMS to open his mouth and speak. Definitely it would take another ten years for him to actually indulge himself in any action. The recent cartoon on Facebook was really hilarious and I don't know how many of the NBSS supporters saw it. It was Dr. MMS at the dentist and the dentist tells him that at least here he should open his mouth for his own good. Well that was really hilarious. But the background message is not clear. Now that many people are losing hope on the UPA and with the internal politics intensifying day by day in the NDA (PA Sangma resignation and of course Bihari CM's hatred for the revered Modi ji), it is really confusing which one to vote and which one to be thrown away in the next one and a half years. All the 21k BSE and the 35 Rs per Dollar UPA I achievements did get the congress on board for once again but I am afraid that the UPA II has anything in the box to actually speak about and win the election.

Now, when is Dr. MMS planning to hang Kasab? Is he not a terrorist? Why is he enjoying A grade treatment at the jail? One should say that after all the hardwork that Kasab has put in to destroy India, he has been given a SPA time to relax and rejuvenate at the cost of the Indian tax payers while Dr. MMS goea about preaching sermons to the European union about stabilising its economy and releasing statements about punishing terrorists!

Earlier, actors became politicians. But if we look closely today, the actual acting career is a political career for most of these non-actor turned politicians! BRAVO! Before we elect next time, shouldn't we give more thought my dear NBSS supporters?

Petrol Price and Car Companies

If you had closely read the newspapers yesterday, you would notice that there was a news article that claims that all the major car manufacturers in the country are shutting down the petrol engine production and hence stopping the production of petrol variants of all their cars invariably. This will definitely reduce the demand for petrol. But would it reduce the price of petrol significantly?

It is also told that these car companies are also offering huge incentives to push off all the petrol variants in their inventories as of now. Would people actually buy petrol cars without considering the long term running costs, just because the cars are damn cheap?

It is also reported that these manufacturers are not just stopping their petrol variant production, but they are also about the compensate the loss in the number of units to be rolling out of their plants by doubling the diesel car manufacturing capacity. Now, wouldn't this increase the demand for the diesel and hence increase its price in about a year or two? what do you think?

India has been named as one of the fastest growing nations in the world. But as we read the newspaper every single day, it is clear that there are more problems on the way and vision 2020 might not be possible to attain at all. A proper understanding of any problem paves way for obtaining the right solution and in India, that has never been the case. An intelligent rascal named Macaulay must be quoted here - "I have traveled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief. Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such calibre, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and, therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native self-culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation". True to that, we find that only a very few are dominant and the rest of us are pledging ourselves to their dominance. We have always been under monarchy that even after independence, we are ruled by monarchs in the name of democracy and we all have become a huge flock of sheep. The media as such does not give us the clear picture, but it often gives us what would be nice to hear. Each person perceives the same thing very differently and only if all of us discuss and debate, things would become much clearer. There are so many political and social issues that have to be still settled and understood by us and who else other than the youth of the country can do that? The नई भारतीय सामाजिक सेना (NBSS) is here, a place where like minded Indians, who have not lost our backbone to Macaulay's system of education can actually and actively put ourselves into what I wish to call now as the second war of Indian Independence. We must all unite, not against foreign power, but against the power of foreign education that has been infused into our Genes. Let us use the knowledge that the system has given us, but think like true Indians. There is of course competition, with other families (Nations) and not amongst ourselves. NBSS would be the place where we would start the change, use the internet for something effective and constructive and let NBSS be the change that we want to see.

Being a member of NBSS, you should accept that you have no caste, creed, community, region and religion. We must see ourselves only as Indians and nothing else. We are all aware that our culture is dwindling and we are all aware that we are not we were but still there is something that is preventing us from going back to who we really were and if you agree, you are one person who are actually trying to be a true Indian and you are definitely a soldier of NBSS. If you are ready to fight, by all means to make the country the best, then join NBSS immediately. We have with us, very less time and at the end of it, we must not be the losers. When the opponent is cheering you, it only means that you are slowing down. Only if there is an aggressive opposition, you can be sure that you are growing. Let us not allow the USA or the UK to appreciate us, let us make them dumbstruck with our achievements and if you could agree no more, then join NBSS now!
