Shy To Claim Your Own Rights People? SHIT!

When a beggar comes begging to us, we look at that person and immediately become judgmental. I have seen that only old ladies and old men or those who have a disability would be given money by the people. Even if someone gives these beggars, some money, then that would mostly be Rs 2 and not much. We think that it would be more than enough? Well, really? What can we get today? A small groundnut chikki costs 2 Rs today and in some hotels, one single idly costs 15 Rs!!!

That is just one side. Here is the other side. I had been to a nearby bakery to get some fresh bread 2 days ago. Two guys, roughly of my age came up to the shopkeeper and asked him to give them each, a bottle of coca cola 200 mL. They asked how much they had to pay and the shopkeeper demanded Rs 12 for each bottle. There are advertisements all around the country that says that coca cola 200 mL glass bottle is now selling at Rs 8 per drink. I was really shocked to see that the boys paid up without even looking at the price tag printed on the neck of the bottle. The slicing and packing of the loaf of bread that I had asked for, was taking some time and I could not stand this ignorance from their part. So i calmed myself down, politely called one of them and explained that they are paying 50% more for their drink.

For the news: http://post.jagran.com/coca-cola-lowers-price-of-200ml-coke-bottle-to-rs8-1329391820

That guy looked a the price tag and told the other one that I was right. I was happy momentarily and to my horror, the other one said that its ok and that they shouldn't ask the shopkeeper about it. They had their drink and vanished. I had a talk with that shopkeeper about this and he told me that generally the bottle comes with an MRP tag of Rs 10per piece and they sell it at Rs 12 per piece and he did not notice that the MRP had dropped by Rs 2! ignorant shopkeeper? Good for him!!! Then I asked him "WHY 2 RS extra?" he replied...."I am chilling the bottle". So, people, what does MRP inclusive of all taxes mean?

I am still unable to digest this that I thought of punching my keys rather than punching those faces!

Who SHOULD save this Nation?

I Do Not Know Who To All(o)y With : DMK and Congress Bleed

If there is something in this world that is devoid of principles, then it is coalition politics in India. The parties are not ready to go by principles and to support the good "RAMA RAJYA". If not for the good of the people, should they not have some self respect and adherence to their own principles?

For the congress, the AIADMK worked as the most suitable partner in Tamilnadu when it was headed by Mrs. Indira Gandhi for the former and Mr. M. G. Ramachandran for the latter. It worked well even with the leadership changed to Mr. Rajiv Gandhi and Ms. J. Jayalalithaa respectively. Suddenly when it was Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, the present empress of the great nation, India, there was a tussle and the ally broke up. Neither of the two wants to discuss about the reasons behind the same. Then Ms. J. J took seriously to the side of BJP and the Congress fixed itself to the only alternative in the state, the DMK, led by Mr. M. Karunanidhi and his family.

Everything was so good and satisfying after joining hands with DMK for the congress in Tamilnadu. With the then chief minister Ms. J. Jayalalithaa having tortured the government officials, lost all her Lok Sabha seats to the DMK. Not one sir, not even a single seat was won in her name or her party's name. The Congress Matriarch was so happy to have gotten away from the AIADM Matriarch. 2004 Lok Sabha elections they were and the congress was not a significant majority in the UPA I government. So Sonia and the hence the congress had to dance to the tunes of Karuna. With the DMK back to power, that too forming a MINORITY government with other parties supporting it from the outside (not participating in the government), the next Lok Sabha elections were scheduled. As it was, the people did not vote the DMK to power at the state full confidence and so did the power of DMK diminished in the UPA II, as Congress itself earned a significant majority of the coalition and even now, Karuna wanted the UPA to dance to his (him and his family included) tunes.

But now, Sonia wanted to show her true power. She let the DMK do all the mischief it wanted and when she saw that the AIADMK would come to power, she wanted to change tracks. She wanted to patch up with JJ. She made the government expose and investigate the WORLD FAMOUS 2G SPECTRUM SCAM and staged DMK, as a single party, to have carried out the entire scam while Congress was stain free. She tried breaking the bond, even by arresting the DMK chief's third wife's only daughter POET and MP Kanimozhi and delayed her bail. Still, no use. Jayalalithaa remained and remains till date, keen to not form any bonds with congress, at least until Sonia Gandhi is its dictator. The Tamilnadu state assembly was over and Jayalalithaa replaced Karuna as the shepherd of Tamilnadu and the state's monarch.

Still Sonia was confident to make ties with Jaya as she was sure that if she had to make congress continue with DMK which has recently been earning a bad name from all over the country and from the people of Tamilnadu itself, then she will have to renounce her title of being the empress of India.

As far as all parties are concerned, being in power is the only motto, for if they are not, their scams in their reign would be exposed and if they come back, they could scale up all the scams and increase the rate at which the tax payer's money can be looted. By traveling once by economy class, nothing has changed in the principle Mrs. Foreign Empress.

Now the route is clear for the Ms. JJ led AIADMK government at the state for another three years at least and it can be in POWER (although there is no power in the state), that too with a thumping single party majority and the party is clear about not having congress as its ally. The friendship between the Gujarat CM Mr. Narendra Modi and Ms. JJ, between the Bihar CM Mr. Niteesh Kumar and Ms. JJ, all indicates clarity, while the Congress and the DMK, who both want to be out of the bond have no other choice but to stay along.

DMK hates the communal BJP and Congress, although it has tried its best, could not even divert a single ray of attention from the AIADMK. STUCK without any choice!

As a token of Love and respect the Congress had shown Karuna and his beloved daughter in the recent past under the CBI investigation, Karuna kept the centre guessing about his support to the government to continue and his support for the FDI in retail. With so many congress leaders (not sonia) being sent as messengers, even the PRIME MINISTER (King) was sent by the EMPRESS as a MESSENGER but nothing happened. Finally, the Shameless DMK chief has agreed to support the motion. This is the problem with aged people. They cannot remember anything properly. There are chances that Karuna (unable to do his daily activities without another person's help) might even say DOWN DOWN DMK and I LOVE YOUR JAYALALITHAA MADAM and fall at her feet due to the effects of age on his mind and brain. This is a very bad move to be taken as the chief of a DRAVIDIAN party.

Could the Deal be FDI for Safety of Kanimozhi? Who cares about the Aam Aadmi? In tamil, one calls an Idiot by the name "Maangaa" meaning Aam and I think that this name would perfectly fit us if we continue to let these idiots ru(i)n the nation.

Just because they are out of options and stuck together, GOD knows what would happen. No one cares about the people even as much as the people care about these stupid Political parties!!!

Politics a Profession - Nice Idea ?!?!

We all know about the most revered President of India of all times, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam and his repeated insist on the power of the Youth. We are also aware of the fact that India is a nation with the majority of the Youth in the world and could do wonders within a very short time. Are these just statements that we hear to make ourselves feel good or do they really have any meaning? What do they mean by the youth? Are those children of very old political leaders called youth of the nation although they are biologically grandfathers and grandmothers? Are those grey haired men and women who are stuck with the youth wing for years together, struggling to get their names on billboards at least through the youth wing if not a chance provided by the core political party, the youth of the Nation? Well, a man of 40 with a family and children of his own cannot be the youth representative of the nation, for his thoughts would move into how to make his child and his family rich and powerful. Neither can a man of 40 who has foreign girlfriends but has a celibacy celebrity status should be that. But you turn the pages of Indian media; you would find only these men and women being portrayed as the YOUTH ICONS of the Nation.

We all learn at school that Democracy, from the words of Lincoln, the form of government FOR the people, OF the people and BY the people. But I sincerely feel that Democracy is FAR OFF from the people and is being used to BUY the people as commodities and slaves. Have we misunderstood the crux of democracy? Are those M.L.A s and M.Ps our representatives or our monarchs? Have we forgotten that the power is truly ours? Today, a member of the crowd that sends these representatives to the house gets arrested because he criticises the government or the offspring of a very influential politician in the government, on a social networking site. When there is no right to freedom of expression, can we call this a real democracy? If those people who send the representatives to the house cannot voice their opposition against the representatives, this is not even benevolent dictatorship and definitely not democracy at all, but a carefully planned slavery! If there is one dictator and the rest of the world obeys, then we can call anything that spirals down in the system to be the fault of one person. But today, there are so many dictators (rather gundas) and a group of slaves who elect their own masters. These representatives are seen on posters and hoardings and rarely amidst the public only when there is an election. Where do they go rest of the time when they are not easily reachable in their offices and when they do not even go and sit in the proceedings of the house to which they were elected to? Even if some do, they do not open their mouths except for yawning or gossiping or having something to eat. How many of our representatives have spoken in the houses at least once? Are CIVICS and POLITICAL SCIENCES just additional burden as non-scoring subjects to the students of the country? What do they really learn from them? For about one hundred marks in the exam, twenty goes for internal evaluation, majority goes for learning History and Geography and the student goes about thinking why should I learn a whole series of lessons when only a few questions would come from them? After all, my parents and the society are worried about the numbers that I score from the exams and not what I really know or not?

The Idea of an “Opposition Party” is yet another headache in this country, although created for good reasons. When a particular party comes out of the government and becomes the opposition, only then that party would project itself as the best asset that the people had lost by casting votes to the other party. Even then, the focus of the opposition parties in the nation seems to be at pinpointing the so called RULING parties and not centred at the development. The RULING party concentrates on attacking the opposition and the vice versa, which then boils down to one thing and that is entertainment under the blanket of running the nation. Instead of opposing the wrong deeds of the policy making party, these opposition parties seem to resort to taking down on whatever policies that the party in power comes up with.

Whose mistake is this mess anyway? If we still call this a DEMOCRATIC setup, then it is our very own dear mistake. Every problem that we face as a nation ultimately has its roots on the governing body and on the fact that we have not chosen the right people. There are names of leaders both living and dead that we could quote and call to be visionaries. But it is not just in the hands of the leader, but vests within the entire hierarchy. As we move down the hierarchy, the spirit of the leaders seems to vanish and the elements of selfishness and materialism take an upper hand, pushing the people to clean the shoes of those representatives who are supposed to work FOR the people. Are we independent? There are some leaders who are well known to have conspired against the founder and taken their place as party presidents, only to establish a multilateral lineage of their family into politics, power and money.

A few questions that I have been asking myself since I was 14 include: Why only a few people in politics? What happens to the new ones who come into the picture? Is it someone’s birth right to be the RULER because he or she has the genes of the RULERS? Is the government really made of representative or do we have no choice but to vote for those known devils that tend to RULE us and make themselves rich? Almost all political leaders today have come from a humble background or even have had nothing to eat but scraps but seem to have a lot of money in both black and white and yet are not being punished for the same; is politics the best business today where everything is legal? Do the law and its enforcers even know to spell equality? Are Engineering and Medicine the only career options for the real youth of the Nation? Why do we fear change and struggle to trust the known devils to magically transform into selfless angels? Why is the FORM ‘O’ not an option in the secret ballot?

The attitude of the people towards politics and the politicians must change. Instead of thinking of politics to be something to shun away from and reserving the most powerful domain of the society for select families to monopolise and exploit, should not we actively engage? Who is the real youth? Is it a group of someone who writes GRE, IELTS, TOEFL etc, flee elsewhere to make personal life comfortable while someone votes in his or her name in the national polls? Should we only fill the coffers of other governments? Should we only accuse the present governance and not actively participate in making a change? Should we fear changes? My dear brothers and sisters please do think. We might travel worldwide in quest of knowledge. But once we have enough, shouldn’t we invest it in our land and make the best use of it? Are we going to take all the money with us when our physical selves depart? Should not we actively engage in politics and bring in a change? Shouldn’t we change the scenario from “Being impossible to get a voter ID on time” to “Being able to drive the government to new heights?” I wonder…

Morally Speaking, All Earthlings Have Equal Rights On All The Earthly Resources. So, Should We Share Everything?

HIGH ALERT: VERY LENGTHY POST. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE WHO DON’T EVEN GIVE A RAT’S BEHIND ABOUT THE SOCIETY OR LIFE!

First of all, Pak would like to thank Pam for setting up the trains of thought in the direction that has made me write this blogpost. Thanks a ton!

Human mind is a very amazing thing and that is very well evident if you look back and think logically about how we have evolved and how we have built things around us. When there was only one Kingdom, called the Kingdom Planate dominating all the land and water resources, the bacteria and single cell organism evolved to an extent to produce what is called as the Kingdom Animalia (Well, if you think that God created human beings, so be it. But we are not discussing theism and atheism here, and contradicting this statement based on present day science, I believe in GOD. Well, that is a different issue to talk about altogether!). Coming back to what I wanted to say, the animals then lived happily in the jungles, depending on the plants for food all the time. Later, those animals that eat other animals evolved out of them and there it goes, most of us now know the food chain already (being taught in EVS classes in childhood!). But even that is not the point. See, it is evident from the fact that the human mind is able to interlink things and hence divert to a lot of other topics from one and that is why it is amazing. There are so many abstract concepts that have been incepted by the human minds and whole new imaginary worlds have been created and integrated into the real and physical world. Take for instance the concept of Politics, Boundaries, Languages, Economics, etc.; there are so many of them of which the main topics of discussion here in this post would be Economics and Politics (Core interests of NBSS).

Let us get very much humanitarian as of now, let us all flock together as starlings for a few moments. We are all human beings. Why should we have boundaries and discriminations? Why cannot we share everything equally? Why cannot we respect each other as human beings when after all we are dependent on each other? World would definitely be a lovely place to live in. You can go wherever you want without Visa, passport and the most important thing would be that there would be no ECONOMICS!!! If you think deeply into being one single group, what would happen to the abstract concept of ECONOMICS and all those who are working and Studying Economics for a livelihood? We need not worry about dollar rising or rupee falling. We need not even worry about prices, for we would have equal rights on anything and everything that is found on the earth as a resource. Anything that is found will then have to be divided into seven hundred billion shares and distributed worldwide. There would be no competition, no theft, and no greed (if at all they surface, they would be met with justice immediately). There would not be a need for people to launch themselves towards development. Even when you are studying, you separate, classify and then study things to take it in and because of the structure of the classifications, you tend to retain and understand concepts better. When everything is available, when there is no competition at all, we would all stand still, knowing not what to do! There would be no history, no invasions, no stories to tell, no purpose to live. We would all survive like the rest of the animals. We would work only when we are in need of something. Life would be so boring. How many of you graduates miss your college life? How many of you college people miss your school life? You loved those periods because you had so much to do and you had so many people to compete with. (Again putting stress on the kids, thrusting too much to study is a different topic and let us not deviate into that either!). Even if you went to school, you would not have a subject called History, geography or civics or Economics! All of us would have done Science!!! To think of that, could that have been fun if at all that was the way the world went right now? So, the essence of the entire paragraph is that, there would be so much less to do and to think of in this world if we all shared everything. But believe me; too much of anything is as bad as having a share on everything and that is what I will tell you about.

It is good to have about 400 odd countries competing with each other for resources actually. Only because of that race, every country and every single man is trying to add something as a contribution to the human society. An International patent might keep someone in the chair of monopoly for a maximum of twenty years. After that, when the patent is released, it is an opportunity for all the others to work on the patent more and make it much better, get a patent and get benefited. In that way, there is a need and as we all know, need is the mother of all creations. But need should never be a greed. There are exceptions too. If there is some item of luxury that gets patented, the patent owner can be greedy enough to sell at very high prices but if something as useful as a lifesaving drug should not be sold at a higher price and that is why they are excluded from patenting. In a recent press release that says that India would launch generic-medicine for all schemes very soon widely, it has been told that certain important lifesaving drugs and cancer treatment drugs that have indeed been patented have been infringed by the government itself to allow cheaper and much effective variants of the drugs to be made available in the market. If not for those moves, we would not have Metformin Hydrochloride tablets selling at less than one rupee per tablet and help even the poor to control their blood sugar levels. Well that is the sharing that we have facilitated. Now, the competition for the pharma companies is to strike a balance between marketing and selling cost of their products in the market. This will lead to the evolution of effective marketing strategies. If there was no competition at all, every farmer would grow all the fruits, vegetables and grains that his family would need in the land that he or she has and be happy with that. There would not be concepts like integrated farming, overproduce and export at all. Would not that be a mess?

It is true that Dr. MMS headed (so called) Indian government has decided to donate 10 billion dollars for the strengthening of the shattered Eurozone because our economy is dependent on it. This is called advanced development tactics. When you are in a battle for improvement where you want to raise your standards when compared to the competition, making your competition stronger is the wisest move you could make. If all your competition dies out, the development standards would come down and in fact, there would be nothing called as a standard. So, increasing the strength of your opponent would let your people work more and overcome the newly set standards. This is called “help and get helped in return” and this could go beyond no more.

Imagine a long twine you have. You made unnecessary knots between the ends of the thread. While making knots, it was an interesting process. But now, when you do not want the knots, the simplest solution is to directly cut away the region that is knotted. But to rejoin the two pieces of the thread, forming a single piece, you have no other choice but to knot them both together again but you will have a shorter thread. There is yet another option; you remove the knots one by one slowly in the reverse order to get the entire length of thread without the knots. So, the process of integrating all nations into one sharing unit can be compared to this. Every knot is a system of classification and segregation that we have been making and hence we must go step by step, bringing about equality in the society. We must integrate all the castes within a religion first. Then we should integrate the religions, then the region, then the country. At the maximum only so much knots can be removed, for when we do that, we would have equidistant knots, making the entire length of simple and regular thread look more like a necklace!

So, integrating the nation itself is a HERCULEAN task that would take at least another generation (33 years) to complete and that is the most we could achieve without collapsing the systems that we have built. Nations can provide the necessary and sufficient competition for development.

In fact, the idea of all Human beings flocking together is racism in one way. Due to our activities, there are so many species of plants and animals vanishing from the face of the earth! We should not have cell phones, for those towers harm the birds, we should not build houses and live under tree shades, for we are clearing forests the home for several animals….the list can go on. Everything has its own limitations but we could only come to a quasi-state where things are feasible and at the same time good for us. Human beings are born with selfishness and a brain that evaluates and classifies things immediately and hence we cannot live without it. Such concepts can only be printed and not followed!

Awaiting debates and comments!

Learn From Starlings And Be A Star!

I love to learn from the success of the successful people (LOL!!), and inspired by an idea to do 30 different things in a month, I started to watch a video on TED every day. So, I start my day with inspiring thoughts from geniuses around the world, which kind of keeps me motivated and energetic throughout the day. I stumbled upon startlings in one such talk. Starlings it sounds like a lot of things, a chocolate? a cartoon? Well they are probably the most inspiring beings from whom, I have ever got inspired till date. Starling is a bird of the family sturnidae (courtesy: Wikipedia) and I have come to learn that, the larger ones are particularly called as mynas, yeah!!! Myna is a colloquial term used to refer a girl or a loved one in most of the tamil songs. Coming back to the script let me give you an opportunity to experience the aura of the starlings, check out the photos.

Majestic

 inspiring starlings!!

They flock together as groups and in their case it seems, they are not called as a flock instead they are called as murmur, owing to the sounds their flight makes collectively. What is fantastic about them is that even though they fly together in so many numbers, they never collide. A classic example of co ordination!! They share information when they fly not only about food but also predators, obstacles, they trust each other. They seem to follow the motto: Share to live long, happy and content. They are a personification of leadership, but from the outset observe the pictures carefully you do not and probably cannot spot the leader, it is a beauty of team work. And when they are together they can scare away the most powerful predator! a symbol of power.
Staying together as a team each one contributing the best of their abilities, sharing, coordinating, trusting, bestows upon the collective the absolute power, freedom and life.
American, Australian, Russian, Ukranian, Indian; tamilian, malayali, kannadiga, maratas, north Indian ,south Indian etc etc are all homo sapiens, the ONLY living members of the genus HOMO(courtesy: Wikipedia). Understand we are just human beings, none of us greater than the other. We have evolved from the greatest civilizations , discovered a million things, invented the best yet we are only virtually connected, share only on facebook, trust only technology and not the man behind its making, helping is obsolete now. Why??
Awake, we have slept enough
In the shadows of ego, jealousy
And all the negative feelings that are not our birth right
Awake, lets help each other
Awake, to grow together
Awake, to be human and humane.
Let us be a star not in the skies after death,
but on our paradise- the Earth
Awake it is time for an oath that we will not become history
for we are the only living members of the genus HOMO.
Rise and shine…..

Akhilesh Yadav - The Yongest Known CM and Personification of Hipocracy

Just because you have the genes of  Mulayam Singh Yadav and a nose like your dad, Akhilesh Yadav, you are no better than him nor his equal. It is a shame that you be a representative of the People itself! Is anyone offended by this? Well, you must read my justification first:

When you had taken up the office under your control, swearing to protect the people and do good for them as their chief minister, you announced that the shopping complexes and commercial stores be closed soon after sunset so that you could save energy in the state. Wow.... what a nice thought... Proving that you are educated and all... well done showing that you have concerns for the environment... Nice move.

But what did the people say? They spat on your face and you immediately reversed the decision.

Now, you went to the other extreme end. You wanted to give all MLAs luxury coaches to go around the constituencies and develop it and you generously allotted 20 lakh for each MLA for the same? Will the people not talk to you if you go by bicycle? Can you only go under the sun, in an open van, shout for the people only when you need votes? Ok, should the MLAs only use costly foreign luxury coaches? why not the cheapers INDIAN nano for that matter? You also had claimed that your MLAs (most of them) have no money to buy one and that is why this decision. Oho? So all those crorepatis in your government are only poor to buy a car from the Taxpayer's money? What a nice move?

Again what happened? The people and the so called people friendly opposition snubbed your decision and you had to reverse it.

Someone who was so concerned about the environment suddenly wanted all 50 odd MLAs to get new cars and add pollution to the world....

What more have you in your sleeves my dear?

You have made yourself a nice laughing stock for the nation!

HIPOCRITE!!!!

Should Tamilnadu Be Against India? Is It So Now?

The only state in the country that does not know much of Hindi or that does not appreciate Hindi as a language is Tamilnadu. Have you ever wondered why? Here are a few things to ponder upon.

When all the other states learned Hindi, why did Anna and Karunanidhi always oppose and show black flags to it? Is to praise and preserve Tamil? Well, I personally do not thing so and I plead that you read my opinion about this issue. One did not see the disappearance of any other language or dialect because of the spread of Hindi in India. So, the plea that Tamil must be preserved and so there should not be Hindi learning is a false one. So what could be the real reason?

When Tamilnadu can appreciate learning and using ENGLISH ( a dull foreign language ),  a language that was taught to us by the oppressors of our country, way back 100 years, why can't it accept HINDI, a beautiful language that emerged in this soil?

One cannot use the phrase "Unity in Diversity" if one cannot accept a common language that all other parts of the country has accepted.

Did you know that M. Karunanidhi, the one who claims to be the living soldier of the Dravidian movement has got all his children and grandchildren educated in English and also Dhayanidhi Maran learned Hindi while he is always speaking to the people about how Tamil should be given importance and how the other languages must be pulled down?

In fact, when you are in a country, is it not unwise to launch a movement like "DRAVIDIAN" movement that concerns only a little part of the country instead of an "Indian Upliftment Movement?".

Though we are still not under the Brutal British rule, we are still governed by the policy of divide and rule by these great leaders. Where is unity when you create a divide amongst the north and the south? How can one expect to tolerate and accept you when you cannot tolerate and accept them?

It is too simple, by keeping away Hindi, the regional parties can keep other national parties away from the public so that they do not get so much competition and the vote bank will never ever be divided.

If Tamils learn Hindi, they would be easily taken into the Northern civilisation and there would be an exchange in Ideas and things would grow. The vigor of the people in north and the analytical mind of the south could combine and create a better world where these so called great goon leaders would not have a place to be.

When I started travelling around the country, I was able to reflect upon this issue and I seriously think that every single Tamil must learn Hindi also so that we do not oppose anyone and neither would anyone have a prejudice against us in the country. What if you cannot learn it at school? when we are able to learn Spanish, German and French from foreign institutes set up in India by paying so much fees, why can't we learn Hindi and prove our patriotism to India?

We are Indians first of all and then we are Tamils. So please do not be against Hindi and do not be devoured in the drama these so called DRAVIDIAN leaders put up.

I would like to receive some comments on this guys!

PS: I am not Anti Tamizh! I am Indian and I love Thamizh as well. I appreciate and welcome the fact that court proceedings and TN government proceedings should be in Thamizh but my point here is that we can learn Hindi when we can learn English. In fact many have picked up a vogue to rite a stupid English test worth 12000 INR to get into some foreign Univs for an MS. Many invest thousands of Rupees to learn Japanese, French and German in TN. Why not learn Hindi? Why hate something that many Indian like?
